BCNET’s initiative on shared procurement has played a significant role in identity systems renewal for select member organizations. BCNET has made a strategic decision to bring SailPoint IdentityIQ into its application portfolio that is available to all members, at preferred rates. SailPoint IdentityIQ is an industry-leading identity-governance and provisioning solution that is tailor-made to address enterprise needs in the areas of governance, risk, compliance, and provisioning.
Both UVic and UBC have embarked on deployments of SailPoint IdentityIQ in the past year. A third BCNET member, UNBC, is also poised for an IdentityIQ deployment. The opportunity for cross-campus collaboration between identity-management teams has already sparked group discussions and shared training activities.
Each campus faces unique challenges with managing identity in the context of:
multiple systems of record
delegated administration of services
centralized and distributed business processes
high volume identity attribute flows
diverse user-communities where members hold multiple roles
heterogeneous application environments
high-demand for managing/auditing access requests
How can SailPoint IdentityIQ meet these requirements across a variety of campus environments? Is SailPoint tailor-made to handle the unique demands of higher-Ed identity and access management?
In this presentation, representatives from UBC and UVIC will lay out their experiences to date with their respective SailPoint IdentityIQ deployments. Hear about the decisions that each school has made to drive their deployments, what milestones have been reached, what lessons have been learned and what the future holds for each school.
